We believe that the more experience that you can get the better a diver you will become. This philosophy is exactly why we think the plus option of the Advanced Open Water course is invaluable. We not only certify you as a PADI Advanced Open Water diver we also include a choice of either:
- PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy
- PADI Dry Suit Diver
- PADI Digital Underwater Photography
- PADI Enricher Air Diver
Buoyancy is one of the most important skills you can master, it will make you move effortlessly in the water and make your dives more fun. Our Dry suit addition will give you invaluable experience of “dry” diving, a must if you are considering diving in the UK year round.
To certify you will need to do six dives split over two days (unless choosing Enriched Air, this is classroom & eLearning only), once complete you will be more skilled and have better awareness and knowledge; you’ll feel more comfortable in the water and simply enjoy diving more because you will have an enhanced understanding of diving, your ability and the aquatic environment.
What will I need to do?
The course is focused on growing your in water experience & encouraging you to think like a diver so you can experience new adventures.
There are four compulsory core dives which are an inclusive part of the Stellar Divers Advanced Plus diver programme:
Deep Adventure Dive, Navigation Adventure Dive, Plus the two dives that you need to achieve in order to gain your speciality diver certification are mandatory, you then have a choice of 3 of the following:
- Wreck Diver Adventure Dive
- Night Diver Adventure Dive
- Search and Recovery Adventure Dive
- Underwater Naturalist Adventure Dive
- Diver Propulsion Vehicle Adventure Dive
- Boat Diver Adventure Dive
- Drift Diver Adventure Dive
- Aware Fish Identification Adventure Dive
- Underwater Naturalist Adventure Dive
For UK waters we strongly recommend including Wreck and Search & Recovery however it is entirely up to you.
Academics and Theory?
In addition to your PADI eAdventures diving manual you will receive a PADI Diver eSpeciality manual. When you sign up on the course we will discuss which adventure dives you wish to do & which speciality course you want to do. We will then ask you to work through the sections relating to the 5 adventure dives and the speciality eManual that you will be doing. Once you have completed the theory & associated knowledge reviews we will then schedule your dives.
The Dives
We will need you for two days to complete the certifications, we are flexible to meet your needs however we always recommend that you come away for a great weekend to Capernwray to complete the dives.
