As is our way at Stellar Divers we believe in giving you a choice of how you want your course structured, that is why this particular course is designed for those who are very busy and have little or no time to come to our classroom sessions or those who would rather do all of the knowledge development section of the course in the comfort of their own home via a computer. eLearning offers you huge flexibility and is a great learning tool. Once you complete the modules you will have all of the knowledge that you need to start the practical portion of he course. Once complete you will also have access to a virtual PADI Open Water manual for life!!
How long is the course?
That’s up to you – with us at Stellar Divers, our courses are running continuously. This means we can individually provide a course to suit you. Flexibility and close guidance with personal service is our key. We don’t do mass courses, your individual needs are our priority.
What are the requirements to do the course?
Minimum age is 10 years old (Great for families), Be able to swim and have confidence in the water, Be in good health
How does the course Work?
Simple – let us know you wish to proceed with the elearning version by dropping us a line on our contact page, selecting elearning in the subject. We will then contact you to discuss your needs/timescales etc. If you wish there is no need to wait the short time for us to contact you, you can start the eLearning straight away by logging into the portal (click the eLearning image above) and get going with your course. It normally takes 12 – 15 hours to complete……don’t worry you do not need to do it all in one go 🙂
Once you complete the eLearning we will then take you to Yarborough swimming pool to learn how to dive and develop your skills that you have studied in eLearning. We will provide you with up to a massive 8 hours in the pool to make sure that you have mastered all 45 skills and are happy to proceed.
Now to the open water part, we normally take you to our associates at Blue Lagoon to complete this section. You will need 2 days to complete at least 4 dives. As part of these dives you will be demonstrating to us the skills learnt in the pool and applying them to a real/fun open water environment.
Once all this is completed – your instructor will award the prestigious PADI Open Water Diver Certification.
