Fiskerton Scouts

This morning we had the pleasure of being joined in the pool by 15 very keen Scouts from The 5th Lincoln Fiskerton St Clements Scout Group. Some great scuba try dive & snorkelling action with plenty of laughs, we hope to see you all again soon. Thank you Major & Steve for you expert assistance.

We are at Blue Lagoon on Tuesday & Stoney Cove on Wednesday if anyone fancies a bimble around with us, we will be there from 10am both days, have a great week, Hotch & Vic

A great start to the week

A great start to the week; last night we said goodbye to Robert & Richard after they completed their pool skills, best of luck on your PADI Open Water referrals & we look forward to seeing you soon.

Congratulations today go to Federica & Richard on gaining their PADI Open Water certifications, we are so pleased that you are taking the next step, namely your PADI Advanced Open Water, we look forward to seeing you soon. Great to see Heather, thank you Petra (more of your DM course completed 🙂 ) and great to see Mr D for a social swim.

Brilliant Rescue Course

The rescue course was absolutely brilliant! I can now understand why most divers say it’s one of the best courses. It changes the way we look at diving in general (in and out of the water). Thank you for this.

A friendly and professional group

Just want to say thank you Stellar Divers for taking me through my open water and advanced open water courses, From the pool to Capernwray you guys have been fantastic, Vic and Hotch your team of instructors are the most friendly and professional group I have ever met. Nothing is too much trouble everything you guys have done has made me feel like family. Just need to say a huge thank you to Martin and Steve the Dive Masters and a HUGE thank you to Ian you have got to be the best instructor out there.

We have really enjoyed the Open Water course and learning to dive with Stellar. The instructors have been so helpful and supportive every session, and diving at Capernwray was an amazing experience. We are looking forward to practicing what we have learned in Mauritius.

Quite an achievement

Myself and my daughter have been a member of Stellar divers for a couple of years, during which time we have completed a variety of different different courses. My most recent being the RNLI course and Emily completed her Rescue diver course and is now working towards junior dive master quite an achievement at 16 ! None of this would have been possible without the support and incredible knowledge of Hotch and his pro team. I cannot recommend Stellar divers highly enough and would advise anyone wishing to learn to dive to give them a call.

I was let down by another dive centre who were going to service my kit! Rang Stellar and spoke to Hotch, he opened specially over Christmas took my demand valves in and serviced them so we could go to malta. I will never forget that, thank you.

Changed my life

I’m blown away! I think stellar has changed my life. The discover scuba experience was something I did years ago abroad and I had a bad experience. So I plucked up the courage to try again 10 years on and rang Hotch at Stellar. They were incredible, so friendly and helpful. Now I’ve done it I just can’t stop thinking about diving. Ben was so professional and kind, roll on doing my PADI.

An awesome dive centre!

An awesome dive centre! Hotch, Vic and the whole team were so welcoming and patient, they all really went above and beyond to make the experience one I will remember forever. I joined Stellar Divers as a complete beginner and I’m now a qualified PADI open water diver. I’m so proud of this and I know I wouldn’t have been able to achieve it without all of the support from the Stellar team – thank you! Due to my own schedule being busy & me taking a break for a couple of months I got to work with a few different instructors. I found them all to be very knowledgeable, supportive and I felt safe diving with them. Whilst I was doing the course I went on a discovery dive in Cuba so I’ve seen first hand that not all PADI qualified instructors are as good as the ones I worked with at Stellar. I completed the course with a weekend of diving at Capernwray in November and I’d fully recommend it, even just for the social after!

What a Team

I’d just like to applaud the way Simon Hotchkin and Victoria Hotchkin have set up the Covid restrictions and allowing us to be able to dive. Brilliant to start my Divemaster course with Vicky Burton you were brilliant.
Topping it off socially distancing at Girton for a cold lake dive to get Alice through the Rescue course was fantastic this afternoon. All topped off with mince pies made by Mrs W, Julia Wood. Stellar divers, what a team

Smiling….a lot!

Hi Simon. First 2 open water dives today, including my first shark sighting. My instructor seems very happy with my skills, both in the pool yesterday and in the sea today. My mask is greatly improved, mainly just leaks when I smile, but for obvious reasons I seem to be smiling a lot. Ian’s training has prepared me well, please thank him. Jeremy

Stingrays & Bull Sharks!!

Hi Hotch it’s Alex thought I would give you an update on my open water dives I completed 1&2 yesterday the instructor was very happy with what I learnt from you guys, a big thank you for that. I got to see some moray eels, stingrays, a bull shark , loads of fish and coral reefs it was a very good experience with no issues. Knowledgable and Calming

“If anyone is thinking about taking up diving or just having a go, I can thoroughly recommend Stella Divers, I was very nervous about diving in deep water (anything above 1.5 meters!) Me and my friends had various instructors including, Vicky, Ian and Sian they were all amazing, they were patient, knowledgable and calming and when I did my open water qualification at Capernwray they managed to get me down to 14 meters ! I still can’t believe they did that, we also had an awesone time there, such a nice group of people. Thank you so much.”

A Brilliant Team

Thanks again for a fantastic weekend, it’s not possible without the time, commitment and organisation you both put in with the rest of the dive team you have built. I never felt unwelcome by anyone all weekend and I tried to make others feel that way too. It’s such a refreshing warm atmosphere in the club which is why I’ve returned and will continue to do so, that mixed in with the hospitality at the kings arms, I couldn’t have made a better choice of club to dive with in the UK.

A Special Weekend

A very big thank you to all the team at Stellar Divers this weekend at Capernwray. We had such a warm welcome at the pub which continued through out the weekend. A special thanks to Alice who was just amazing, putting us at ease and going above and beyond in her responsibilities. Hi Simon, Just updating you on my progress 🙂 I have 1 more dive to do before I can start my DM, and 11 more to go before it’s completed 🙂 just want to thank you for all the help you gave me at the beginning if it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t be where I am now, malta is amazing for diving!
